Quarter 2, Week 3

5th Grade Writing: We are working on language and grammar. We will learn how to use commas, be able to explain the function of conjunctions, prepositions, and interjections.

Projects: We will continue on with the research of our important person of the Revolutionary War. We have a quiz on Thursday. We will review in class, but I strongly encourage your child to study them at home. Don't forget our Projects Presentation on November 17, in the lunchroom at 2:30-3:30.

4th Grade Writing: We are going to review and learn how to write an opinion paragraph.

Reading: We will continue on with George Washington's Socks. We are all working on learning and reviewing Main Idea while also working on our individual reading strategies in our groups.

Supply List

*24 Pencils

*1 package of colored pencils (Twistables are great!)

*1 package of medium tipped markers or combination of tip sizes

*4 Highlighters

*1- 4 pack of whiteboard markers

*4 large glue sticks (white)

*1 small container of Elmer's washable glue

*1 adult sized pair of scissors

*1 black and 1 blue ball tip pens

*2 Black Sharpies

*2 large art pink erasers

*1 ruler

*2 lined paper composition books (any color, any design)

*3 section spiral notebook

*4-2 pocket folders(that have three holes and can fit in binder- any color)

*2 boxes of tissues

*2 containers of disinfectant wipes

*1 package of toilet paper

*3 rolls of paper towels

*1 roll of duct tape (any color or pattern)

*1 reusable water bottle to stay in classroom

*1 zippered pencil pouch (with 3 holes to fit in binder)

*1 pencil box for their cubby

**Please put your child’s name on all of their supplies, we will NOT have a community supply area. Students are responsible for keeping track of their own supplies.
